Emphasis

Emphasis is known as the center of interest and the use of its surroundings is to help reinforce the meaning.  I emphasized my love of Disney movies, especially the character Merida from Disney Pixar's BRAVE.

Variety

Variety is the combination of visual elements to achieve massive details and complex relationships, it is used to create visual interest. To create a variation, I transformed into different stereotypes (Sporty, Artistic, Nerd, Girly-Girly, Peppy, Gothic) based off the clothes I have in my closet.

Balance

Asymmetrical balance is when there is a sense of balance on either side of an art piece but the two sides are not identical. This video montage is about a situation of if my room was transformed into an asymmetrical room, including my bed, desk, bathroom counter, and closet.

Rhythm

Rhythm is a combination of elements repeated, similar to a pattern, but with variations or difference. Inspired by Kenan Hall staircase, which I hate to climb every day for class, and Super Mario Brothers, I created rhythm by acting as a video game character who is struggling to get to the next level.

Focal Point

A Focal Point is an area of interest that draws the viewer's attention to the most important aspect of the artwork. So with the aid of glow sticks and a very dark room, I created myself as a focal point while dancing to the song "You Spin Me Right Round (Like a Record)" by Dead or Alive.
